Job Role

Clinical Assistant /Receptionist Position.

We are looking for one (or two) Aesthetic Assistants/Receptionists to provide administrative and treatment support in a doctor-led aesthetic clinic. The successful candidates need to be extremely professional and hard working, with strong interpersonal skills, such that they can deal easily with patients.

The role will require strong administrative skills, as well as a genuine interest in aesthetic treatments and skin care.

BrightNewMe, by Dr Sarah Norman, is a small but ambitious aesthetics clinic based in Altrincham, South Manchester. Procedures currently undertaken by Sarah include wrinkle reducing injections, treatment of thread veins, and cryotherapy to treat skin lesions. In addition, the clinic is extremely active in providing skincare advice and products.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be capable of filling both roles, but this is not a necessity. The first role, that of Clinical Assistantant, is essentially to act as a second pair of hands for Sarah, before, during, and after patient consultations (in much the same way a dental nurse supports a dentist).

You will be involved in preparing the room and equipment prior to consultations, meeting and greeting patients, making notes during consultations, offering assistance during procedures, and clearing away equipment at the end of an appointment.

The second role is that of receptionist/administrator. This will involve answering the telephone, making bookings, answering queries and emails, taking payments, and general administration.

The clinical assistant role requires the successful candidate(s) to mirror the clinic hours undertaken by Dr Sarah Norman, which are approximately 7.45 am to 5.15 pm on four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).

Allowing for a forty five minute lunch break, this would equates to a working week of 35 hours for one person. Working hours for the receptionist role may be slightly shorter. There will be a contractual obligation to take a significant proportion of the holiday allowance at the same time as Dr Norman takes her holidays.

The position(s) will attract a starting salary based on an hourly rate of £10. Other package highlights include

• Discretionary performance related bonus
• Incrementally increasing holiday allowance
• Company pension contributions
